Lucy

We are very excited to have a new niece, Lucy Jane Byrum. She was born July 21st, and weighed 9 pounds!
The next day, Seth and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We spent the day at the beach and then went to a cute little restaurant for dinner. Banks saved a little energy for his favorite time of day-bathtime with his duckie!

Gator

Gator came to visit us this weekend. He brought a present for Banks. The picture in the background goes perfectly above his crib and is a big aligator with flamingos. Banks loves the picture and tries to roll over and look at it every time I try to change his diaper, which makes diaper changes pretty intersting. We had a great time with Gator and look forward to him getting back down here very soon.
Yes, that is Banks trying to crawl! He's definitely got scooting down!
Banks loves playing with his choo choo train, which reminds of our cute little nephew that we think he will have a lot in common with. :)

Mimi and Gator

We went up to Vienna to visit Mimi and Gator. We are really enjoying living so close to them. Mimi had a blanket up in Rocky's favorite spot on the couch. Mimi, Banks and I went to Leesburg and did a little shopping on Friday. Saturday night, we had a dinner party and got to see a lot of great friends. By Sunday, Banks and Gator were exhausted and took a little nap before we headed home. Not only did Banks sleep then, but he slept three and a half hours on the way home!

Lilypie

Rocky

Banks LOVES Rocky. Originally, Banks would only laugh when tickled, but Rocky can get a laugh just by walking in the room! I'm pretty sure Banks like Rocky more than Rocky likes Banks...

He's sitting up!

Seth, Banks and I went to the beach on Friday and Banks did a little trick for us...he sat up all by himself! He loves the beach, we sit with him right where the water comes up to his toes, he loves to splash around. He also like to put sand all over himself, which is a lot of fun to get off. We still find it in his ears several days after we go, just in time for us to get back to the beach.

Around the house and at the Beach

Banks is really enjoying Virginia. He loves watching Price is Right in his chair. He also enjoys bouncing in his jumper. We went to the beach the other day and let Banks splash around. He's eating rice cereal, sweet potatoes, and bananas (which are his favorite). He weights a little over 16 lbs. now.

Hello Virginia

Although it was quite the car ride, we are in Virgina. Here is a picture of our house. We are living on base and we love it. Banks finally got a crib to sleep in, poor guy has been sleeping in a pack and play for 2 months now. We are all loving Virginia Beach. We try to go to the beach as much as we can. Banks loves to watch the waves and kicks every time a wave comes to him.

Goodbye Texas!

We took one more trip to the beach in Corpus Christi, Texas before heading to Virginia. It took us 3 days of driving, but Banks had fun, as you can see with Seth. Mimi and Gator came and helped us get all moved in before we headed back to Texas for Chris' wedding and then Ryan's wedding. We got to stay with Janey and Doh. Banks loved swimming with his frog float and rolling around on the floor. We realized we cannot take our eyes off of him for a second or he will roll away!

F18's Beaufort Cont...

Here are Banks and Rivers playing in the back of my car. We had a squadron party, but the boys needed a little dinner and a diaper change, so Kate and I did it all in the comfort of my car. Here are a few more pictures of Seth's winging ceremony. Seth and Dustin had a great time together at the after-party, which was a beach theme. The party was a blast!

F18's Beaufort

Seth received his wings on April 17, 2009. We are all so very proud of him. The whole family came all the way to Kingsville to celebrate with us. Seth will be flying F18's for the Marine Corps. First we will move to Virginia Beach and then on to Beaufort, South Carolina.

Last Flight

Seth jumping out of the T45 one last time. Banks and I went to see him complete his last flight. Once he was finished, some of the guys met him and hosed him down with water. He then received his soft wings from the XO of his squadron.

Virgina and back

Aunt Jamie came all the way from Pheonix to visit Banks. We all had a great time, but her trip was way too short. Seth took Banks to see the Iwo Jima Memorial, a little Marine motivation. We found a huge area that had beautiful tulips, so we laid Banks down and started snapping, this is one our favorite pictures of him. Banks loves playing with his friend, Rivers. Rivers is 9 days older than Banks. Banks weighs about 11 lbs. and has started rolling over from his tummy to his back. He also started smiling at the beginning of this month, which brightens Seth and my day all the time!
